Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TA-HPV is an investigational therapeutic vaccine designed to treat human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated diseases. It is a recombinant vaccinia virus-based vaccine engineered to express the E6 and E7 oncoproteins from HPV types 16 and 18, which are high-risk strains associated with cervical and other anogenital cancers. The vaccine aims to stimulate a cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) immune response specifically targeting cells expressing these viral oncoproteins, thereby promoting the clearance of HPV-infected or transformed cells. TA-HPV has been studied primarily for its potential in treating cervical cancer and related neoplasias[4][7].
