Overview

TAA05 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) receptor, developed by PersonGen BioTherapeutics for patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy utilizes T cells engineered to express a CAR construct that includes an optimized CD28 costimulatory domain, which is designed to enhance the expansion, survival, and anti-tumor activity of the cells upon recognition of FLT3-expressing leukemic blasts. FLT3 is a receptor tyrosine kinase frequently overexpressed or mutated in AML, making it a viable target for directed immunotherapy. TAA05 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in adult subjects.
