Overview
Tabirafusp alfa is a recombinant fusion protein drug developed as a bispecific agent acting as both an **interleukin-6 (IL-6) inhibitor** and a **vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) trap**. It is engineered as an **antibody biopolymer conjugate (ABC),** enabling it to simultaneously antagonize IL-6 and neutralize VEGF action, both of which are pivotal in inflammatory and angiogenic processes underlying diseases such as neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), uveitic macular edema, and other retinal disorders.
