**TAG vaccine** is an individualized, irradiated autologous whole-tumor-cell cancer vaccine genetically modified ex vivo with a nonviral plasmid encoding granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and a transforming growth factor beta 2 antisense sequence. The product is intended to present each patient's broad tumor-antigen repertoire while locally increasing GM-CSF-mediated antigen presentation and reducing TGF-β2-mediated immunosuppression. It was evaluated in a Phase 1 study in patients with advanced metastatic carcinoma, with intradermal monthly administration after manufacture from resected tumor tissue.
