Overview

Tagitanlimab is a humanized IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1). By specifically binding to PD-L1, tagitanlimab blocks its interaction with PD-1, thereby disrupting the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway. This blockade restores and enhances anti-tumor immune responses by relieving tumor-mediated inhibition of T cells. Tagitanlimab has demonstrated clinical benefit, particularly in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), where it is used both as monotherapy for patients with recurrent or metastatic NPC after failure of second-line or later chemotherapy, and in combination with cisplatin and gemcitabine as first-line therapy for recurrent or metastatic NPC. It is also being clinically explored in combinations for other advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer and breast cancer[2][4][7][10].
