Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tailinfang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed as a hospital preparation by the Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTI). The formula is designed to address the TCM patterns of damp-heat in the lower jiao and spleen-kidney deficiency, which are commonly associated with chronic or recurring urinary symptoms. Clinical studies, including a multi-center, randomized, controlled trial (ChiCTR1800018350), have evaluated its efficacy in reducing the frequency of infection episodes and improving clinical symptoms compared to standard controls. As a TCM formula, it typically consists of multiple botanical ingredients intended to clear heat, promote diuresis, and tonify the kidneys and spleen.
