Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Taiqi Peiyuan Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the treatment of immune dysfunction, particularly in the context of HIV/AIDS. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as an adjunctive therapy to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) for patients experiencing incomplete immune reconstruction, characterized by persistently low CD4+ T-cell counts despite viral suppression. The granule is designed to tonify Qi and support the body's Original Qi (Yuan Qi), thereby enhancing the proliferation and function of immune cells. It is primarily associated with research conducted at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.
