Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Taiqi Peiyuan Mianjian Keli is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Chinese Medicine. Formulated as instant granules that do not require traditional decoction, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of leukopenia, particularly myelosuppression induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy in cancer patients. The preparation is composed of several botanical extracts, including *Pseudostellaria heterophylla* (Taizishen) and *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), which are traditionally used to tonify qi, nourish the blood, and strengthen the body's 'original foundation' (Peiyuan). Clinical application focuses on stimulating hematopoiesis and modulating immune function to restore white blood cell counts and improve the quality of life in immunocompromised patients.
