Overview

TAK-816 + DPT-TAKEDA is a combination vaccine candidate developed by Takeda. TAK-816 is a Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugate vaccine, licensed from Novartis (original product name: Vaxem Hib), containing 10µg of Poly-Ribosyl-Ribitol-Phosphate conjugated to 25µg CRM197, with aluminium phosphate as an adjuvant[2][3]. The DPT component refers to the diphtheria, pertussis (acellular), and tetanus vaccine formulation developed by Takeda. This combination was intended for pediatric immunization against invasive Hib disease as well as diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. However, there is no evidence that this specific combination reached advanced clinical development or approval; related programs were discontinued in favor of other priorities[1][2].
