Overview

TAL61 is a novel covalent small molecule inhibitor developed by Talus Bio, targeting the transcription factor Brachyury. It is being investigated as an antineoplastic agent for the treatment of chordoma—a rare bone cancer—and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that TAL61 significantly reduces tumor burden in patient-derived xenograft models of chordoma and Brachyury-positive NSCLC, with durable tumor suppression persisting after treatment cessation and a favorable toxicity profile. The drug represents a new molecular entity and leverages Talus Bio’s regulome sequencing platform for discovery and optimization[1][2][3].
