Overview

Tamgiblimab (IBI939) is a fully human recombinant IgG4κ monoclonal antibody that targets TIGIT (T-cell immunoreceptor with immunoglobulin and ITIM domains), an immune checkpoint receptor expressed on T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. By binding to TIGIT, tamgiblimab blocks its interaction with ligands CD112 and CD155, thereby relieving the inhibition of T cell and NK cell activity. This enhances anti-tumor immune responses by promoting T cell and NK cell activation. Tamgiblimab is being developed primarily for use in oncology as an immunotherapy agent, often in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors such as sintilimab (anti-PD-1). The drug is under development by Innovent Biologics for the treatment of various cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[1][3][4][5][9].
