Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tamtero is an oncology medication containing tamoxifen citrate, a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Developed and marketed by Azista Bhutan Healthcare, it is indicated for the treatment of early-stage breast cancer in women who have already undergone surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation, as well as for reducing the incidence of breast cancer in high-risk patients. Tamtero works by competitively binding to estrogen receptors in breast tissue, thereby blocking the effects of estrogen that support the development and proliferation of estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers.
