Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TAN-01 is an investigational live biotherapeutic product (LBP) developed by Shanghai Thederma for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. As a microbiome-based therapy, TAN-01 consists of a specific bacterial strain designed to colonize the gastrointestinal tract, restore microbial diversity, and strengthen the intestinal mucosal barrier. It aims to modulate the local immune environment by reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and promoting immune tolerance, thereby addressing the underlying dysbiosis and chronic inflammation characteristic of IBD.
