Tang Shen Fang, also known as 糖肾方, is a traditional Chinese medicine formula used to treat diabetic nephropathy. It is composed of several herbs, including Huangqi (黄芪), Shengdi (生地), Sanqi (三七), Shanzhuyu (山茱萸), Weimao (卫矛), Dahuang (大黄), and Shanyao (山药). The formula is believed to have benefits in nourishing Qi, nourishing Yin, and promoting blood circulation. It has been shown to inhibit TGF-β/Smad3 signaling, reduce fibrosis, and decrease inflammatory cytokines in diabetic nephropathy models[1][4].
