Tangningtongluo (TNTL) is a traditional Miao ethnic medicine developed for the treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). It is available in both oral (tablet) and topical (cream) formulations. The medicine is derived from traditional herbal knowledge of the Miao people in China and is primarily developed by Guizhou Bailing Group Pharmaceutical. Clinical studies, including those conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, evaluate its efficacy in improving wound healing rates, granulation tissue growth, and metabolic parameters such as glycosylated hemoglobin and islet β-cell function.
