PNK-007 (taniraleucel) is an investigational allogeneic, off-the-shelf cell therapy product composed of natural killer (NK) cells derived from CD34+ hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells sourced from human placental or umbilical cord blood. These NK cells are expanded and differentiated in the presence of cytokines to generate a population enriched for CD56+/CD3- NK cells with cytotoxic activity against various cancer cell types. The therapy is designed to boost the patient’s immune system by providing functional NK cells capable of targeting and killing tumor cells. PNK-007 has been developed primarily for the treatment of hematologic malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and multiple myeloma (MM), with clinical studies demonstrating safety and evidence of in vivo expansion after infusion[1][2][3][5][7].
