Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Taohong Dieda Fengshi is a topical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) product, typically formulated as a medicated plaster or ointment. It is used externally for the relief of musculoskeletal pain, such as that associated with arthritis, sprains, bruises, and rheumatism. The mechanism of action is primarily local analgesia and anti-inflammatory effects achieved through its active ingredients—camphor (8.3%), menthol (3.32%), and methyl salicylate (13.84%)—which are well-known counterirritants that provide temporary pain relief by stimulating nerve endings in the skin to reduce pain sensation from deeper tissues[1]. The product also contains various herbal extracts traditionally used in TCM for promoting blood circulation and reducing swelling.
