Overview
Taraxacum mongolicum polysaccharides (TMP) are bioactive carbohydrate polymers extracted from the Mongolian dandelion (*Taraxacum mongolicum* Hand.-Mazz.). These polysaccharides have demonstrated potential anti-obesity effects in preclinical models by promoting the browning of white adipose tissue and regulating lipid metabolism. The mechanism of action involves the activation of the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, which is a central regulator of cellular growth, nutrient sensing, and metabolic homeostasis.
