Tarcidomgen kimleucel is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by FamiCordTx, a subsidiary of FamiCord Group. It consists of autologous T lymphocytes genetically modified to express anti-CD19 CAR molecules, enabling targeted immunologic cytotoxicity against CD19-positive B-cell malignancies. The therapy is currently in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of various B-cell neoplasms, including B-cell lymphoma, mantle-cell lymphoma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, and precursor B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia-lymphoma. The drug acts as a gene therapy and immunotherapy by replacing or supplementing the patient’s own T lymphocytes with engineered cells capable of recognizing and destroying malignant cells expressing CD19[1][2][3][4][5][7].
