Tarian Gel

Tarian Gel (TAR-0520) is a topical small molecule formulation being developed by Tarian Pharma. It acts as an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist designed to treat and prevent dermatological toxicities associated with cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation. These toxicities include skin rashes, burns, folliculitis, and hair loss. By targeting alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the skin, the gel aims to mitigate the inflammatory and vascular responses that lead to these side effects, potentially improving the quality of life for oncology patients and allowing for the maintenance of optimal cancer therapy dosing. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
