Overview

TAS3351 is an orally active, fourth-generation small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It is specifically designed to overcome resistance mutations in EGFR, including C797S and T790M, which are commonly found in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have developed resistance to earlier generations of EGFR inhibitors. The drug is being developed for advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring EGFR mutations, particularly those with the C797S mutation. Clinical studies are ongoing to evaluate its safety, optimal dosing regimen, and efficacy in this patient population[1][3][5][6].
