Overview

TASP0410699 is a small molecule radioligand developed as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agent for the vasopressin V1B receptor. It is a pyridopyrimidin-4-one derivative labeled with carbon-11 for use in PET scans. TASP0410699 binds with high affinity and selectivity to the human vasopressin V1B receptor (IC50 ≈ 0.2 nM), showing minimal binding to other vasopressin or oxytocin receptors and over 90 other molecules at concentrations above 1 μM[2][8]. The compound enables non-invasive visualization and quantification of V1B receptor expression in the pituitary gland, which may serve as a biomarker for neuropsychiatric disorders and facilitate research into central nervous system diseases[2][8]. It has been used in clinical studies to assess V1B receptor occupancy by antagonists such as TS-121[3][8].
