Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TAT-S347 is a first-in-class cell-penetrating decoy peptide designed to inhibit the phosphorylation of Musashi-1 (MSI1) at Serine 347 (S347). Developed by researchers at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the peptide mimics the S347 epitope of MSI1 and acts as a highly specific competitive inhibitor. By blocking MSI1 phosphorylation, TAT-S347 suppresses the proneural-to-mesenchymal transition (PMT) and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) programs, disrupts F-actin cytoskeletal remodeling, and reduces cancer stemness and invasion. It is being investigated as a mechanism-based therapeutic strategy for the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM).
