TATX-112 is a panel of novel, fully human monoclonal antibodies developed to target the tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in various solid tumors and neurodegenerative diseases. TrkB is normally expressed in the central nervous system but is aberrantly overexpressed in several malignancies, where it promotes tumor growth, survival, invasiveness, metastasis, and resistance to chemotherapy. The TATX-112 antibodies are designed to specifically block the interaction between TrkB and its ligand, thereby interfering with downstream signaling pathways that drive cancer progression. This high specificity aims to improve therapeutic efficacy while minimizing off-target effects compared to pan-Trk small molecule inhibitors. The antibodies are also being explored for use as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for targeted intracellular delivery of cytotoxic payloads. Developed using proprietary discovery platforms by Talem Therapeutics (a subsidiary of ImmunoPrecise Antibodies), TATX-112 is currently at the lead selection or early research stage for solid tumor indications[1][2][4][5][6].
