TATX-20

TATX-20 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by Talem Therapeutics (a subsidiary of ImmunoPrecise Antibodies) targeting carbonic anhydrase XII (CA12), an enzyme overexpressed in hypoxic solid tumors. Its primary mechanism is inhibition of CA12 enzymatic activity, which plays a role in tumor cell survival and adaptation to low oxygen environments. The antibody is being explored as both a monotherapy and as a component for the development of bispecific antibodies—therapies that can simultaneously target two different tumor markers—to enhance immune-mediated killing of cancer cells. The drug leverages AI-driven discovery platforms for its design and optimization. As of June 2025, it remains in preclinical research with no clinical trial data reported yet.
