TATX-200 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody being developed by Talem Therapeutics, a subsidiary of ImmunoPrecise Antibodies, for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapeutic is designed as a T-cell engager that simultaneously targets Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) and the CD3 antigen. TrkB is a tyrosine kinase receptor often overexpressed in various cancers, where it contributes to tumor cell survival, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and metastasis. By binding to TrkB on cancer cells and CD3 on T cells, TATX-200 promotes the formation of an immunological synapse, leading to T-cell activation and the subsequent lysis of the tumor cells. This dual-targeting approach aims to enhance the precision and potency of the immune response against solid malignancies.
