Tau degrader program

The Tau degrader program by Seed Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage research initiative focused on the development of oral molecular-glue degraders for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. This therapeutic approach utilizes small molecules to induce the proximity between the microtubule-associated protein tau and an E3 ubiquitin ligase. This recruitment leads to the selective ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of tau via the proteasome pathway. By targeting and eliminating pathological tau aggregates, which are a hallmark of neurodegeneration, the program aims to slow or halt the progression of tauopathies.
