Drug intelligence / Profile preview
tau mAb (CNS-shuttled) is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody being developed by Manifold Bio in collaboration with Roche. It is designed to target the Tau protein, which is associated with neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies. A key feature of this therapeutic is the integration of a CNS shuttle, a technology designed to facilitate the transport of the antibody across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), thereby increasing its concentration and efficacy within the central nervous system. The program leverages Manifold Bio's M-Design platform to optimize the antibody's properties for brain delivery and target engagement.
