TAV-002

TAV-002 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody being developed by Tavo Biotherapeutics for the treatment of various retinal diseases. It is designed with a novel mechanism of action that simultaneously targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and an upstream signaling receptor. By binding to these two targets, TAV-002 aims to inhibit pathological angiogenesis and vascular leakage more comprehensively than existing anti-VEGF monotherapies. The drug is being investigated for multiple ophthalmic conditions, including wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), geographic atrophy (GA), diabetic macular edema (DME), and diabetic retinopathy (DR). Tavo Biotherapeutics is currently advancing the candidate through preclinical development in preparation for clinical trials.
