Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TAVO-PLUS is an investigational intratumoral **DNA plasmid gene therapy** from OncoSec Medical that extends the company\u2019s tavokinogene telseplasmid IL-12 electroporation platform. It is designed for **gene electrotransfer** into tumor tissue, where plasmid delivery followed by electroporation drives local expression of **interleukin-12**, with the stated enhanced construct also incorporating **CXCL9** and **membrane-bound anti-CD3** elements intended to increase immune-cell recruitment and T-cell activation within the tumor microenvironment. The program is being developed as an **oncology immunotherapy** for solid tumors such as metastatic melanoma, triple-negative breast cancer, and head and neck cancer, including use in combination with checkpoint inhibitors such as pembrolizumab or nivolumab.
