TAVO317A is a preclinical, bispecific pan-gamma-delta (pan-γδ) T-cell engager and recombinant fusion protein developed by Tavotek Biotherapeutics for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). The molecule is engineered to redirect both Vδ1 and Vδ2 gamma-delta T-cells to target and eliminate CD123-expressing leukemic cells. A distinguishing feature of TAVO317A is its incorporation of an attenuated Interleukin-15 (IL-15) component, which provides a localized cytokine signal intended to enhance the activation, proliferation, and metabolic durability of the engaged γδ T-cells within the tumor microenvironment. This multi-functional design aims to combine the potent cytotoxicity of unconventional T-cells with the proliferative support of IL-15 to achieve robust anti-tumor efficacy while maintaining a favorable safety profile compared to conventional CD3-based T-cell engagers.
