TB-010

TB-010 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) being developed by Therabene. CDK9 is a critical component of the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) complex, which regulates the transition of RNA polymerase II from promoter-proximal pausing to productive elongation. By inhibiting CDK9, TB-010 suppresses the transcription of key oncogenic and pro-survival genes with short half-lives, such as c-Myc and MCL-1. While Therabene is also advancing CDK9 degraders (TB-008 and TB-003B), TB-010 represents a traditional enzymatic inhibition approach for the treatment of cancers, autoimmune disorders, and viral diseases.
