Overview

TB-420 is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by TrueBinding that targets Galectin-1 (Gal-1), a glycan-binding protein implicated in neuroinflammation and the pathophysiology of ischemic stroke. Galectin-1 is known to modulate inflammatory responses and contribute to the damage following an ischemic event. By binding to and neutralizing Galectin-1, TB-420 aims to reduce neuroinflammation and promote neuroprotection, potentially improving functional outcomes in patients during the acute and subacute phases of stroke. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
