Overview

TBC-MVA + TBC-FPV is a combination of two recombinant viral vector vaccines developed for HIV-1 immunotherapy. The combination consists of: - **TBC-MVA**: A recombinant Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) virus expressing HIV-1 antigens (such as tat/rev/nef-RT or env/gag). - **TBC-FPV**: A recombinant Fowlpox virus (FPV) also engineered to express similar HIV-1 antigens. This prime-boost regimen is designed to stimulate robust cellular immune responses against HIV by sequentially administering the MVA and FPV vectors encoding key viral proteins. The approach aims to enhance both the magnitude and breadth of anti-HIV immune responses in individuals with well-controlled infection on antiretroviral therapy[2][3]. Early-phase clinical studies have focused on evaluating safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in HIV-infected adults.
