Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TBE001-A-S033 is a long-acting insulin analog designed for once-weekly administration in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Developed as a modification of insulin icodec, it features a modified acylation side chain to optimize its pharmacokinetic profile and prolong blood glucose control. In preclinical studies using ICR and db/db mice, the compound demonstrated a favorable hypoglycemic effect and a species-dependent half-life comparable to or improved over insulin icodec, suggesting its potential as a weekly therapeutic option for glycemic management.
