Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TBKD-006 is an investigational topical small molecule Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor developed by Chongqing Huabang Pharmaceutical. It is designed for the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions, specifically atopic dermatitis. The drug functions by inhibiting the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in the mediation of pro-inflammatory cytokines that drive skin inflammation and the sensation of itch. By utilizing a topical cream formulation, TBKD-006 aims to provide localized therapeutic effects while minimizing the systemic side effects often associated with oral JAK inhibitors. It is currently undergoing Phase 1/2 clinical evaluation in China to determine its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with mild to moderate atopic dermatitis.
