tbo-filgrastim

Tbo-filgrastim is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) that stimulates the production of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell essential for fighting infection. It is used to reduce the duration of severe neutropenia in adults and pediatric patients (1 month and older) with nonmyeloid malignancies who are receiving myelosuppressive anticancer drugs associated with a clinically significant incidence of febrile neutropenia. Tbo-filgrastim acts by binding to specific cell surface receptors on hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, promoting proliferation and differentiation into mature neutrophils. It is considered a short-acting G-CSF[1][5][6][9].
