Overview

TBX-1400 is an investigational stem cell therapy composed of human donor hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. It was developed by Taiga Biotechnologies for the treatment of severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare genetic disorder characterized by profound defects in both humoral and cellular immunity. The therapy involves treating blood stem cells with a proprietary protein prior to transplantation, aiming to improve engraftment and accelerate immune system recovery in patients undergoing bone marrow transplant procedures. TBX-1400 has received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for this indication[1][2][8].
