Overview
TC-3 is a proprietary reverse thermal biodegradable hydrogel developed by UroGen Pharma (formerly TheraCoat Ltd.). It is designed as a drug delivery system for intravesical administration, primarily in the urinary bladder. The hydrogel is characterized by its ability to remain in a liquid state at cold temperatures (5°C) and transition into a solid gel upon reaching body temperature. This property allows it to form a localized drug reservoir within the bladder, facilitating the sustained release and prolonged contact of co-administered active pharmaceutical ingredients, such as Mitomycin C (MMC) or Botulinum Toxin A (BTX), with the bladder urothelium. This extended exposure aims to enhance the therapeutic efficacy and duration of treatment for various urological conditions.
