Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TC LPA5 4 is a selective, non-lipid small molecule antagonist of the lysophosphatidic acid receptor 5 (LPA5, also known as GPR92). Developed and supplied by Tocris Bioscience (a Bio-Techne brand), it exhibits an IC50 of 0.8 μM for the LPA5 receptor and demonstrates high selectivity over 80 other screened targets. Preclinical research has shown that TC LPA5 4 inhibits LPA-induced aggregation of isolated human platelets and suppresses the proliferation and migration of thyroid cancer cells. In vivo studies have indicated efficacy in mouse models of ischemic stroke and thyroid cancer xenografts. It is strictly a research-use-only compound and is not approved for human or veterinary therapeutic use.
