**TC440** is a novel boron-containing dipeptide compound developed by TAE Life Sciences for use in **Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)**, a targeted radiation therapy for cancer. It exhibits superior solubility (>150 mg/ml in fructose) compared to the standard agent borophenylalanine (BPA), enabling higher boron delivery to tumors (2-3 times more than BPA) with improved tumor-to-blood and tumor-to-normal tissue ratios in xenograft and hamster cheek pouch oral cancer models. TC440 is internalized via LAT1 transporters and PEPT1, even in LAT1-negative cells, and demonstrates longer half-life and doubled complete response rates versus BPA/BNCT in preliminary in vivo studies, with no precipitation issues in formulations.[1][5][7]
