Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tcar-T is a hybrid adoptive cellular immunotherapy platform being developed by Imgen BioSciences. The technology integrates T-cell receptor (TCR) and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) approaches by utilizing TCR alpha/beta chains for antigen recognition, which are linked to a third-generation CAR activation signaling domain. This signaling domain incorporates CD28, 4-1BB (CD137), and CD3ζ costimulatory elements to enhance the activation, proliferation, and persistence of the engineered T cells. By combining the high-sensitivity antigen detection of TCRs with the potent, MHC-independent signaling of CARs, the therapy aims to address challenges in treating solid tumors and infectious diseases. The platform is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
