Overview

TCC56 is a **monoclonal antibody (IgG3κ) that specifically binds to human Mucin 13 (MUC13)**, a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma tissue compared to normal pancreatic tissue[1][3][5]. Developed through hybridoma technology, TCC56 is efficiently internalized by target cells and, when conjugated to cytotoxic payloads (e.g., DT3C, a diphtheria toxin-based conjugate), demonstrates selective cytotoxicity against MUC13-expressing cancer cells in vitro[1][3][5]. Preclinical data suggest potential utility as an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) for the targeted treatment of pancreatic cancer and possibly other solid tumors expressing MUC13[1][3][5].
