Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TCellMune-RD is a replication-defective herpes simplex virus (HSV) vaccine candidate developed by Vaxxit for the prevention and treatment of HSV-1 and HSV-2 infections. The vaccine is engineered to be unable to replicate in human cells, providing a safety profile while effectively presenting viral antigens to stimulate a robust T-cell immune response. By targeting both HSV-1 and HSV-2, TCellMune-RD aims to address the broad clinical manifestations of herpes infections. It is currently in preclinical development.
