TCM allogeneic human central memory T cells is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy consisting of purified, non-expanded, and cryopreserved donor-derived central memory T cells (TCM). Developed by Wuerzburg University Hospital, the therapy is administered prophylactically to patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) or Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) following T-cell depleted, HLA-matched allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT). The primary objective is to facilitate rapid and sustained immune reconstitution, providing graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) activity and protection against infectious complications while potentially minimizing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) typically associated with unselected donor lymphocyte infusions. The product is currently being evaluated in the PACT trial (NCT02758223).
