Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by China Medical University Hospital specifically for the prophylactic treatment of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) related dermatological adverse effects. It is primarily indicated for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are at risk of developing acneiform dermatitis or rash while receiving therapies such as afatinib, erlotinib, or gefitinib. The formula is designed to reduce the incidence of grade 3 skin toxicities and delay the onset of symptoms, thereby improving patient quality of life and preventing the need for EGFR-TKI dose reduction or discontinuation. The preparation is based on TCM syndrome differentiation and clinical experience, aiming to provide a synergic effect with standard cancer therapies without interference.
