TCRαβ KO T-cells are allogeneic T-cells derived from healthy donors, genetically engineered using TALEN® technology to disrupt the T-cell receptor alpha-beta (TCRαβ) complex. This modification prevents the cell surface expression of the TCRαβ, thereby minimizing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in allogeneic settings. In the provided context, these cells serve as a control, being non-transduced with a Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR), distinguishing them from the therapeutic product UCART123 which incorporates this TCRαβ knockout feature.
