Overview

TCR Msln-engineered T cells are a type of adoptive cell therapy designed to treat ovarian cancer. These T cells are genetically modified to express a T cell receptor (TCR) specifically targeting Mesothelin (Msln), a protein minimally expressed in healthy tissues but overexpressed in ovarian cancer cells, contributing to malignancy. The therapy aims to enhance treatment efficacy by directing the immune system to recognize and attack Msln-expressing tumor cells. Preclinical studies suggest that combining these engineered T cells with checkpoint blockade antibodies can significantly improve T cell function and overall survival.
