Overview

TCR-OV1 is a T cell receptor-engineered T cell (TCR-T) therapy being developed by ErVimmune for the treatment of advanced or metastatic ovarian cancer. The therapy targets human endogenous retrovirus (HERV)-derived tumor antigens, specifically HERV-K-derived epitopes that are aberrantly expressed on the surface of ovarian cancer cells due to epigenetic dysregulation, while remaining silent in normal tissues. By engineering T cells to express a specific TCR, the therapy enables the recognition and HLA class I-restricted killing of tumor cells. This program is supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC) through the OVACell project and aims to address the high unmet need in ovarian cancer patients who typically show poor responses to standard checkpoint inhibitors.
