Overview

TCR-T012 is a T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy currently in the discovery phase of development by Protheragen. The therapy is designed to target the Wilms' Tumor 1 (WT1) protein, a zinc-finger transcription factor that is highly expressed in a variety of hematological malignancies (such as acute myeloid leukemia) and solid tumors (including ovarian, pancreatic, and lung cancers), while maintaining very low expression in normal adult tissues. By engineering a patient's own T cells to express a specific TCR that recognizes WT1-derived peptides presented by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules, TCR-T012 aims to direct the immune system to selectively identify and eliminate WT1-positive cancer cells.
